OUR PASTOR

Pastor Martha Baker

Born and Raised in Lawrenceville Ga.

Presently resides in Winder, GA

I am number 8 out of 10 children. Times were hard when we were young, but it taught us to Trust God for things instead of leaning on the Arm of Flesh. We were taught to pay our tithes to the Lord and take him at his word,  that He would pour out blessing upon us. We never went hungry or without necessities. We took God at his word, and he provided.

I Attended Gwinnett Co. Public School System and later when I was called to preach I attended  Gwinnett Hall Baptist College. My Dad was raised Methodist.  My Mom was raised Pentecostal.  When they married, they compromised and ended up in the Baptist Church. Later My Parents felt led to attend Dacula Church Of God.

I attended there and served for over 25 years holding different offices, Youth Director, Youth Choir Director,  Clerk of the Church and Jr./Sr. High Sunday School Teacher. The Lord changed my direction in 1993 and sent me to Emmanuel Worship Center where I served as Youth S.S. Teacher, also President of the Ladies Group.

In 1998, I was called to Preach, in a very intense experience with God. In the middle of the night, while in prayer, as if a light had come on, I opened my Bible, and The Lord illuminated Isaiah 61:1.

“The Spirit of The Lord God Is Upon Me; Because the Lord Has Anointed Me To Preach Good tidings to the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.”

I felt the Mantel of God come over my head fall onto my shoulders and down my body, From that moment on, my life was changed. From 1999-2003, I preached and sang at  Monroe Jail under the Direction of Rev. Tracey Fulcher (Ladies division) while also serving  on the Pastoral Team as Associate Pastor at Emmanuel Worship Center in Winder, GA.

The Lord spoke to my heart in January of 2013.  I heard as it were a loud thumping on the ground,  the Holy Spirit said:  “’The Sounds on the Ground'; it’s the Angels of God hitting the ground running—moving people back into their Rightful Places.” God is moving people into position because he is preparing to come back soon and It is time to get the word out. JESUS IS COMING SOON.

I desire to see  “THE WORD OF GOD”  used more powerfully in the lives of Christians. It’s time to get the Church using the Most Powerful Weapon God has given us—The Word Of God.

THE WORD WORKS IF YOU WORK THE WORD.
